Forspoken

Forspoken looks like an amazing title based on the reveal at E3 2021, with an interesting world design and story. It’s great to see Square Enix taking risks on new IPs again, instead of just pumping out Final Fantasy and licensed content.

It hasn’t been all that long since the game was first announced, but it’s starting to look like we won’t have to wait too much longer before the game is finally in our hands.

Forspoken Release Date

Forspoken was first revealed as a new IP from Square Enix back at PlayStation’s E3 2021 showcase. Some of the gameplay shown off looked mind-blowing, but even better it was nice to hear that a major publisher was putting out something that wasn’t a major franchise for next-gen systems.

Now we’re not all that far from release, as the official date has been revealed as May 24th, 2022. The game will be coming to PC and PlayStation 5, making this a console exclusive for Sony.

Forspoken Trailer

Forspoken is a 3rd-person action RPG that tells the story of a girl transported to a magical world. With some strange powers, she has to search for a way home while becoming embroiled in the drama of a fantasy kingdom.

The most interesting thing shown off in the trailers is probably the movement system. You can seemingly leapfrog your way around the world in a way that makes it seem like free-flowing movements are going to be a huge part of the way the game plays.

You can check out the gameplay for yourself down below. There’s even a decent glimpse of the combat towards the latter half as well, and it looks like you’re going to have a huge array of different magical attacks at your disposal.
