Gigabyte AORUS K1 Mechanical Keyboard Announced

A new mechanical keyboard has been announced by Gigabyte with a wide range of features and impressive technology. As you’d expect, this keyboard comes with mechanical gaming switches as well as programmable profiles – but that’s not all.

What Do We Know So Far?

Gigabyte has announced that the AORUS K1 mechanical keyboard will feature Cherry MX Red switches (a favorite among gamers), as well as what looks to be an impressive suite of software. These keys have a reduced actuation distance of 2 mm to give players the best response times as well as anti-ghosting support across all the keys.

The keyboard has its own on-board memory and every key can be reprogrammed by using the bundled software. You’ll also be able to set “almost unlimited” profiles that you can switch through which is perfect for those who are looking for the ultimate level of control.

Another feature that shouldn’t be understated is the inclusion of cable-management. You’ll be able to route the braided cable three different ways to reduce the amount of clutter on your desk.

As is standard these days, this keyboard also includes RGB lighting. Using the RGB Fusion 2.0 software you’ll be able to customize the lighting effect for each key as well as selecting from preset modes such as wave, cycle, reactive, ripple, MOBA and FPS. The last two modes serve to light up only the commonly used keys in both MOBA and FPS titles.

When Can We Expect to See It?

Gigabyte hasn’t released any firm information yet on when we could see this keyboard released. We also aren’t sure what the pricing will be like for this keyboard, but with its wealth of features, we expect it to be in the same range of other high-end models.
