In yet another concept of motherboards that hide away the connectors, the Gigabyte Stealth concept motherboard hides away the connectors to the back as well as KitGuru has shown off at Computex 2023. Similar to the TUF Z790-PLUS Hidden Connector motherboard ASUS showed off at the same event.
As a concept still it has no finalization on the name or price or even when the release date of the motherboard might be. But it shows off a great ability to be able to hide all those unsightly cables to the back where they can be hidden in shame for the cable management. This does include everything and surprisingly so as even the GPU connector.
As also ASUS has shown, the GPUs would come with another proprietary connector behind the PCIe connector. This is what would provide the graphics card with the power required, instead of having to use the ATX power cables on the front which are much harder to manage.
Instead, all the power is routed into the motherboard which makes the front a lot cleaner. Although in its own Stealth build, the AIO still has a cable going away from it, and of course the liquid tubing. But these are still ok and easy to minimize the impact on the view and design.
Hiding away all the connectors is a late addition to what can be an annoying feature to deal with and finally, companies are rectifying it. Although the bird’s nest at the back will still be there and you’ll have that in the back of your mind.
This can also combine well with connecting fans together, like Seasonics Magflow fans similar to what Lian Li already has on offer. These can connect together and require only one cable to and from those fans. Similar also to Corsair iCue Link was also announced at Computex for much easier cabling.
