From these specs, we can see Glorious going straight for the neck of the gaming mouse competitors with the Glorious Model I. Specifically, the likes of Razer, Corsair, and SteelSeries. The weight of 69g (nice) and the overall shape appeared to be aiming straight at the Razer Basilisk. The ergonomic shape and number of buttons are essentially identical, however, the Glorious Model I doers beat the weight of the basilisk by a wide margin as the Basilisk weighs 82g. This may seem negligible, but it’s practically a truck to some of the most enthusiastic mouse users.

Glorious Model I Pre-order: potential public release date

Yes, the Glorious Model I is available for Pre-order right now, for some of you. Glorious cryptically tweeted instructions on how to become a guild member yesterday for ‘no particular reason‘. Well, that reason is very particular now as you can only pre-order the Model I if you are a member of the Glorious Guild.

As with the release of the GMMK 2, guild pre-orders came early, and public pre-orders opened six days later, so we can reasonably speculate that the Model I will be potentially available for public pre-order Next week, Monday being our guess.

How to become a Glorious Guild member

As per the aforementioned tweet, you can see if you’re qualified to become a Glorious guild member by simply going to your account on the Glorious website and it will tell you right there. Annoyingly you need to have purchased something from Glorious already to become a member so if the Model I mouse is what got you interested in Glorious, you are SOL.

Glorious has a points system that can be viewed in full detail on the Glorious website, but the short version is: you need to gain 8 points for apprentice-level rewards and 15 for expert-level rewards. Early pre-orders are available for both ranks and the more expensive product you buy, the more points you gain.
