The world has just received less than 48 hours’ notice that Sony is to hold a State of Play event focused on the amazing-looking Gran Turismo 7 on the 2nd of February.

We are being promised over 30 minutes of new footage of the game as well as a host of new gameplay details for GT7 when the event starts.

We only have a month or so to wait until the game is released so what is being shown on Wednesday will be pretty close to the gold final we would assume so we can take it as pretty much complete at this stage.

With over 400 cars in the game, Sony will have a lot to go at and we can be pretty sure it’s is going to look amazing. As an aside I remember reviewing the original Gran Turismo in the late 90s for a PlayStation magazine and meeting all the developers at the time, and it is incredible how far they have taken the title over the last 20 years.

How to watch State of Play Gran Turismo

As established, the event will take place on Wednesday 2nd February and you can watch it live on Twitch or YouTube starting at 2 pm Pacific / 5 pm Eastern / 11:00 pm CET.

Sony also signed off with a warning to streamers planning on chopping up the event for their own purposes afterward: “Please note that this broadcast may include copyrighted content (e.g. licensed music) that PlayStation does not control. We welcome and celebrate our amazing co-streamers and creators, but licensing agreements outside our control could interfere with co-streams or VOD archives of this broadcast. If you’re planning to save this broadcast as a VOD to create recap videos or to repost clips or segments from the show, we advise omitting any copyrighted music.”

When is Gran Turismo 7 out?

The game releases on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on the 4th of March and it’s going to be an incredible experience.
