GreedFall 2 Has Been Announced

A sequel to the 2019 action role-playing game GreedFall has been announced today, targeting a 2023 launch across both consoles and PC and coming from the same developers as the previous game.

The founder and director of Spiders development studio, Jehanne Roussaeu had the following statement:
“While we are working on Steelrising, our love of the GreedFall universe never faded, and so we are thriller to be returning to it. In this new chapter, players will explore the old continent with its bigger and more diverse environments. They will meet new companions and new factions, and I hope they will have unforgettable adventures.”
Following up on this the CEO of NACON, Alain Falc, said that:
“We are very excited to reveal GreedFall 2 to everyone, the new game from Spiders. Many fans across the world were begging for the sequel, and we are delighted to be publishing this new game that these fans are sure to love. We also hope it will appeal to new players and all fans of roleplaying games, great stories, action and fantasy.”
A Cunning Plan
The press release issued reveals that GreedFall 2 is set three years before the original game and will place you in the shoes of an uprooted Teer Fradee native who is taken by force to Gacane, a world in which you’ll have to use your cunning and your skills in combat to work your way through this incredibly diverse and difficult world. The original game received an expansion pack as recently as last year and has seen multiple updates in order to make it work well on modern systems.
GreedFall 2 is currently targeting a 2023 release date and will release on PC and consoles. It’s unclear if it’ll also release on last generation consoles currently though, as GreedFall 2 was on both generations.
