To celebrate the release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus and it’s new Hisuian variant Pokémon, Amazon is showing four brand-new Pokémon episodes in a Pokémon Journeys Arceus special. Unfortunately for fans elsewhere in the world, they are initially only being shown in Japan, with no information yet as to when we might get them in other regions.

Pokémon God Arceus on Amazon Prime

According to Amazon.co.jp, the four exclusive episodes will be set in the Sinnoh region – which we know is the Hisui region long after the events of Legends: Arceus – and will follow Satoshi (Ash), Go (Goh) and Hikari (Dawn) from Pokémon Journeys. Amazon also confirms that the trio will encounter the “Ginga Troupe” (Team Galactic), the antagonistic team from the Sinnoh Region in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, as well as Mythical Pokémon Arceus itself.

The trio of friends can be seen wearing the exclusive Garchomp kimono set in the episodes, which is a pre-order bonus available to those purchasing Pokémon Legends: Arceus via Amazon.co.jp.

When are the new Pokémon episodes airing in Japan

The new Pokémon anime episodes will be released on two consecutive Fridays leading up to the release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Episodes one and two will be available at 6:55pm on Amazon Prime Japan on January 21st, 2022, with the third and fourth episodes following at the same time on January 28th.

We can’t wait to catch the Hisuian Pokémon in all their glory in the Pokémon anime, so we’ll be keeping an eye out as this develops, and will let you know as soon as the four-parter is released globally. In the meantime, check out the supposed Hisuian variants of the Pokemon Legends: Arceus starters – but only if you don’t mind spoilers! And Japanese fans, enjoy the show!
