It’s one of the biggest PlayStation series of the PS5 and PS4 eras, and now we can look forward to more if it with the upcoming Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores release date.
When does the Burning Shores DLC come out?
The great news is that we’re already very close indeed! The Burning Shores DLC releases on April 19, 2023, and is surely going to heighten and enhance what is already one of the best PS5 games.

Is Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores DLC on PS4?
This is the big question that has garnered a lot of interest in the run up to the DLC’s release. Particularly so, given the full game got released on PS4 back in 2022. And the answer is: No, the Burning Shores DLC will not be coming to PS4. A little disappointing for PS4 players to say the least, and certainly one that raises an eyebrow too.
Apparently, this is so that the Burning Shores DLC can fully embrace the current-gen machine, and ‘harness the power of PS5’ according to an interview on the PlayStation Blog from earlier this month.
What is the Burning Shores DLC about?
Aloy will take her Western travels to Los Angeles in the Burning Shores DLC. Here she will find a landscape that’s turned into a “treacherous volcanic archipelago”, and experience a new narrative that takes place immediately after the end of the main game featuring new characters, quests, and more (according to Guerrilla’s original post). We reckon we might find some new robot dinosaurs to take on in battle too…
Will the game and its DLC be coming to PC? Probably – but this Horizon Forbidden West GeForce Now leak may have reinforced that.
