IKEA Enters the Gaming Market

The ASUS ROG IKEA Collaboration takes the form of more than 30 new products, from gaming chairs to desks, mug holders to neck pillows. The new range of products will be released in October 2021.

The product line comprises six product families: UPPSPEL, LÅNESPELARE,
MATCHSPEL, GRUPPSPEL, UTESPELARE, and HUVUDSPELARE. It’s worth noting at this point that only the UPPSPEL line of products have been designed in direct collaboration with ASUS ROG, with the rest developed solely by Ikea.

The ASUS ROG Ikea Collaboration product line, UPPSPEL, the Swedish word for “Play”, comprises 12 products and is the flagship line of IKEA’s gaming collection. The UPPSPEL line contains an electronically height-adjustable gaming desk, alongside the MATCHSPEL gaming chair, in addition to other gaming-focused furniture such as a striking pegboard and neck pillow.

ASUS ROG IKEA Collaboration Rocket League Tournament

The ASUS ROG IKEA Collaboration doesn’t stop there. As part of EGX 2021, IKEA and ASUS ROG have also teamed up for a Rocket League tournament. The “IKEA X ROG For Those Who Dare Challenge” features a decent lineup of prizes for 1st place, 2nd place, and runners-up. Winners will receive a £5000 cash prize + a full “Gaming Den” setup featuring the ASUS x ROG furniture collection. The 2nd place team and runners-up will receive £3000 cash and £1500 cash respectively, plus a load of other ASUS ROG and IKEA swag.

The finale of the Rocket League tournament will be taking place on October 9 and will be a live event on the IKEA x ROG gaming stage at EGX, at ExCeL London. It will also be streamed live on the ASUS ROG Twitch channel here.
