A recent leak from HD Tecnologia has revealed some key information about the Comet Lake H processor series. A slide deck shows the specifications of the new processor series including the new flagship model, the Intel Core i9 10980HK.
All of Intel’s 10th Gen Comet Lake H processors will have hyperthreading enabled and will support high-frequency DDR4 memory. However, there are some differences between the different models in this new lineup.
Intel Core i9 10980HK Specifications
Being the only Core i9 processor in the series, this processor features 8 cores and 16 threads with a base clock speed of 2.4 GHz and a turbo clock speed of 5.3 GHz. As the only fully unlocked SKU in the series, this means it can be improved through overclocking. However, this is always a tricky topic on laptops due to overheating issues.
Intel Core i7 Processors
While there’s only one Core i9 processor, Intel is planning three different Core i7 processors. The Core i7 10875H is an 8 core model while the Core i7 10850H and the Core i7 10750H both have 6 cores and 12 threads. It has also been reported that Intel’s i7 processors will be able to reach clock speeds of up to 5.1 GHz.
Intel Core i5 Processors
Intel’s Core i5 processors include the Core i5 10400H and the i5 10300H models which will be able to reach clock speeds of up to 4.5 GHz. Both of these processors are quad-core and there isn’t too much to tell them apart. In fact, there’s only a 100 MHz difference between them.
When Will The New Intel Comet Lake H Processor Be Released?
The good news is that Intel is still planning to release these mobile processors on April 2nd. When it comes to actually getting your hands on the processors, there may be a bit of a delay due to the COVID-19 disruptions.
In the meantime, if we hear any more information about the new Comet Lake H processors we will keep you updated.
