Intel’s Core Ultra 200K series is said to be announced today, but we already have leaks surfacing of Arrow Lake’s pricing structure. Nothing has come directly from Intel, but since we are this close to announcing, we’ll be surprised if it turns out wrong.
Intel’s Core Ultra series will be headed up by the Core Ultra 285K, which you can think of as the new 15900K if you’re still not used to the new naming convention. The flagship sports 24 cores and 24 threads, as Intel has decided to ditch hyperthreading for its 15th-generation CPUs. The 285K is rumored to cost $589 at launch, exactly the same as the 14900K of the last gen, so it looks like generational prices may be stable with Intel CPUs.
The leak comes from @OneRaichu on X, who posted a blatant list of the supposed Arrow Lake CPU prices.
NOTE: This post on X has since been removed, it’s not uncommon for leakers to remove posts from time to time, doesn’t confirm nor deny the accuracy of the post.
Intel Arrow Lake prices compared
We already know that the two flagships compare on the price front, but do the rest of the CPUs?
CPU | Price |
---|---|
Core Ultra 9 285K | $589 |
Core i9-14900K | $589 |
Core Ultra 7 265K | $396 |
Core i7-14700K | $409 |
Core Ultra 7 265KF | $379 |
Core i7-14700KF | $384 |
Core Ultra 5 245K | $309 |
Core i5-14600K | $319 |
Core Ultra 5 245KF | $294 |
Core i5-14600KF | $294 |
It seems that there are some ‘discounts’ to be had this time around, there are either the same price CPUs or lower, which is exactly what we wanted to see. Here’s the percentage difference between the varying CPU prices:
- 285K/14900K: Same price
- 265K/14700K: -3.7%
- 265KF/14700KF: -3.8%
- 245K/14600K: -3.1%
- 245KF/14600KF: Same price
A 3% generational decrease in most models is a nice thing, especially when we were so concerned that the prices would jump given the state of the industry. We don’t have to wait long to see if these prices are to be believed, as Intel is announcing its new CPUs today, October 10th.
