There’s a whole bunch of features that make the 14900K well worth it for all kinds of gaming needs. First off, the breadth of cores and threads means that multitasking and task-handling is going to be a breeze for this processor. Despite this, it still manages to keep a relatively standard TDP of 125W, though you can expect this to climb as pressure increases on your PC’s performance.

In our review of the i9-14900K, we deduced that the power-draw can be an issue at times, leading to a “pretty toasty” temperature, though only when you’re really testing the limits of its performance.

The range in clock-speed is also going to be a huge determining factor for many. The base clock of 3.2GHz is going to give you an opportunity to eek out performance without too much power draw, but you’re also going to be able to overclock it in a pinch up to 6 GHz.
