Update – 16th August: Madden 22 early access is nearly upon us. As long as you pre ordered the MVP or Dynasty edition of Madden 22, you can access the game early (from tonight).

Is Madden 22 cross platform? Well, as it stands no, probably not. It is still unannounced at this stage and while some game developers/publishers look to include cross platform capabilities, others are reluctant.

Games like Warzone and Fortnite are big for cross platform gaming and there are even a few hints that Battlefield is currently building and testing this type of feature but whether Madden 22 will is another question.

Is Madden 22 Cross Platform?

EA hasn’t stated whether the game will feature crossplay but if you look at most of the franchise it isn’t looking good. That being said EA is the publisher for Battlefield 2042, a game that is potentially bringing cross platform in for the first time in that franchise’s history, so you never know.

One thing we might see is cross-generational play allowing PS4 and PS5 players to play each other and the same for Xbox One and Series X/S. Microsoft is no stranger to backwards compatibility and the fact that Microsoft requires publishers to manufacture one disc that works on all means the chances are high.

Was Madden 21 Cross Platform?

No, Madden 21 was not cross platform, as it is the same with most EA sports games. We are unsure at this stage why game devs, or more likely, the publisher doesn’t want to include this feature that will make our lives a lot simpler, eliminating the console wars argument altogether, and giving players a bigger player base.

Don’t forget to pre order Madden 22 and get early access to the game!
