These seem to be primarily localized around the US, though the issue may also be experienced in the Asia, and elsewhere when more people wake up.

How to check if Microsoft 365 is down

This will show a chart of the problem reports other users have submitted over the past 24 hours. You can also check the map further down the page to see in what regions in your country these outages have been reported.

In addition to this you can check the aforementioned Microsoft portal service status website, the Microsoft 3665 admin center, and see if the Microsoft 365 Status Twitter account has reported any problems – there may be a bit of lag time before any issue is reported on the Twitter account however.

If no issues have been reported, then it may be a local issue with your device, local web connection, or internet service provider.

  • App crashing – Sometimes updates with software can cause bugs/glitches with the app, which may be solved by an emergency update/patch from the developers or simply require you to reinstall the app.
  • Sign in – Sometimes there could be an issue with the website which prevents users from signing into their accounts.
