Is Xbox Live down (again)? Reports coming in of login issues
Surely not more server access issues at Microsoft's end - this might be a bit of an unusual issue not facing everybody this time though.

Reports are beginning to flood the internet of a large Xbox Live outage with players unable to login to the servers and Down Detector showing a large spike in reported issues.
The Microsoft Xbox Twitter and indeed server status page are reflecting no major problems at the moment but anecdotal evidence would seem to suggest otherwise here.
It is an unusual one this though as we generally see a flood of comments when a service goes down. There are definitely issues for a lot of people but potentially this is not a widespread issue at this stage. We are hunting around to see if we can see if it is localized to a particular area at this time.
UPDATE: The Xbox service status page is now reporting an outage reported and that they are close to resolving the issue as of a couple of minutes ago.
Update 2: The status has just changed to All Clear – so hopefully we are close to a resolution.
Is Xbox Live Down?
While we await official confirmation of an issue, it certainly seems that people are suffering from a service outage.
Is Minecraft down as well?
With people waiting to stream the new Minecraft preview version, it seems a lot of people are only finding out about the problems via the Minecraft launcher, when in fact the issue doesn’t appear to be just with Minecraft. So it seems as though not being able to log into Minecraft is merely a symptom of a wider issue at this stage.
Error 0x87DD0003
If you are seeing the above error, you are not alone, a lot of people are getting this when they try to connect to Xbox Live servers. At this stage there is nothing you can do apart from wait for Microsoft to turn them on and off again.
