There will be an open beta test for KoF XV this November, which will take place on both PS4 and PS5. It was announced last night during Sony’s State of Play video event that the beta for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 would take place for the entirety of a weekend in late November.

When can I play the KoF 15 open beta test?

King of Fighters XV 1

The King of Fighters XV open beta test starts on November 20, 2021 and will let you play the upcoming fighting game until November 22, 2021. It is exclusive to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, so PC and Xbox players will sadly not be able to take part and give the game a go.

If you have a PlayStation 4 or a PlayStation 5, then you’ll be able to play as eight of the game’s roster of 39 characters in both online casual matches and online room matches. There’s no limit to the amount of matches you can play within the time window, so there’s no need to ration out your play time.

If you want to get to grips with the game mechanics then you can also use the offline training mode to practice your input skills, mixups and lengthy combo strings. The beta was announced in a brand-new KoF XV trailer, which was also the debut of a new character called Dolores:

King of Fighters 15, developed by SNK, is the newest entry in the acclaimed 3v3 fighting game series. It is set to release on February 17, 2022 and will be available to play on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
