Things to consider when shopping for Labor Day gaming laptop deals

- The maximum refresh rate of the laptop’s display should be 100Hz minimum (particularly when playing shooters).
- You’ll want the most powerful GPU & CPU you can afford.
- A minimum of 16GB RAM is recommended, but you won’t need more than 32GB for gaming.
- If you’re going to be using headphones then speaker quality may be less important.

There might be fewer gaming laptop deals on offer over Labor Day weekend than on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but it’s still one of the best times of year to pick up a good deal on a gaming laptop. If you see something you like for 20% off or cheaper, it might be better to snap it up whilst you can rather than wait an additional couple of months.
Are laptop prices going to drop?
Laptop prices, including gaming laptop prices, were less elevated than desktop PCs by the global suply shortage that caused the prices of electronic goods to rise. That being said, there was still some impact. We’ve already seen some laptop price drops from the highs of 2021, and we’re unlikely to see them drop much further. That being the case, the Labor Day sales are the perfect time to pick up laptops at a reduced price.
