The good news keeps rolling in during this year’s CES event with LG showing off some of their eagerly anticipated UltraGear displays. These displays cater towards gamers by further building on the brand’s reputation for not only excellent picture quality, but also excellent speed.
What Do We Know?
The 27-inch offering, model 27GN950, includes LG’s first Gray-to-Gray IPS display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz which can be further increased through overclocking to an impressive 160 Hz.
Also compatible with NVIDIA G-SYNC, this monitor can offer gamers a variable refresh rate and adaptive sync technology that will have all of their games running hitch-free.
If you are looking for an even greater gaming experience, the LG 34GN850 and 34GN950 aim to deliver that. The 34GN850 and 38GN950 also feature impressive 160 Hz refresh rates through overclocking, as well as 1ms IPS displays.
Both the 27GN950 and the 34GN950 are VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified whereas the 34GN850 supports VESA DisplayHDR 400. This allows you to get the very best visuals from your games, delivered as they should be.
All these monitors come with the standard set of input and output ports that we’ve come to expect, with the single DisplayPort connected cable also providing support for VESA Display Stream Compression. This allows for a near lossless performance when handling any 4k UHD image you throw at them.
These new offerings from LG look like they will fit in perfectly with any budding gaming system, especially those aiming towards 4K gaming. These aren’t limited to just gaming however, as with other high-end monitors, these will make excellent working and media companions as well.
