What appears to be an official Cyberpunk 2077-themed limited-edition Xbox Wireless Controller has surfaced via a listing on Amazon Canada. While neither Microsoft nor Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red has offered an announcement to match the leak, it does appear to be genuine.
The controller is slated for release in less than a month on May 4th, according to the Amazon listing. The listing features what appears to be a genuine description alongside a generous spread of images and box art.
According to the listing, the theme takes inspiration from Cyberpunk 2077 character, Johnny Silverhand – the rockstar with a penchant for destruction – played by none other than Keanu Reeves, whose participation in the dystopian RPG stole the show at last year’s E3.
The listing describes the Xbox controller as having a rugged design ideally suited to live out the mercenary life. It will ostensibly allow players to immerse themselves in ‘a future where technology is the key to survival.’
Stylish wear-and-tear-like blemishes and scratches adorn the split silver and matte black casing, while a graffitied ‘no future’ is etched into the right side of the controller.
The left-hand side bears a small ‘Arasaka’ logo, referencing the mega-corporation peddling in banking, security, and manufacturing that features prominently in the game. The familiar Xbox XYAB buttons are colored in a rather striking red as are the left-hand triggers and the underside of the left stick.
As is customary with Xbox controllers, the limited edition controller features custom button mapping and a 3.5 mm stereo headphone jack. It weighs in at a feathery 544 grams.
There’s currently no advertised price for the Cyberpunk 2077-themed Xbox controller, and it isn’t available for pre-order either. The listing remains live as of writing, which suggests an official announcement may pop up sooner rather than later.
