The NFL Season is about to commence, with the Buccaneers set to host the Dallas Cowboys, extremely good news for Madden 22 fans looking to start their franchise. It is quite common to wait for the week 1 roster update before getting into the franchise gameplay and this update should contain the final 53-man rosters for each team.
Madden 22 Roster Update Schedule
EA Sports will update the Madden 22 rosters every week, however, there will be the odd week where there is no need for a roster update but the devs have it under control.
The Madden 22 roster update containing an accurate 53-man roster should have taken effect last night/ today. When you boot up your console after the game tonight, the update should be there waiting for you, meaning you can get into franchise mode and enjoy it to its max.
Madden 22 Roster Update Week 1
Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers: 96 OVR to 95 OVR
Arizona Cardinals LB Chandler Jones: 94 OVR to 95 OVR
New Orleans Saints QB Jameis Winston: 73 OVR to 75 OVR
Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts: 71 OVR to 72 OVR
Tampa Bay Buccaneers DT Vita Vea: 88 OVR to 90 OVR
Carolina Panthers LB Shaq Thompson: 78 OVR to 80
These are the most notable changes from the player rating update. It is hardly surprising to see Chandler Jones get buffed after his unstoppablee five sacks in week one.
How To Update Madden 22 Roster
Navigate to the Home Screen of Madden 22
Select the NFL logo, which denotes the “Rosters and Playbooks” menu
Select “Edit Rosters”
Under the “Manage Rosters” heading, locate the “Update Rosters”, and select the tile to download the latest roster update.
If you don’t see anything to update then there is probably no update just yet, so keep your eyes peeled and you might see an automatic alert.
