What Are The Games About?

Megaman

The Megaman Battle Network premiered in 2001 on the Game Boy Advance and is set entirely in an alternate continuity where computers and networking technology were the main focus of scientific advancements, rather than robotics. You control a virtual version of Megaman called Megaman.EXE as you try to stop the schemes of a net-crime organization titled World Three (WWW), because this was the early 2000s and we thought that sort of name was clever back then.

As you can see above, there’s a high-resolution filter option in the game as well, so clearly there are going to be some updates rather than just being straight ports. Of course, most fans of classic MegaMan probably won’t bother with a filter that smooths out a game that is already being blown up way past the tiny little 240 x 160 pixels that it was initially made for.
