Not happy with sitting on the sidelines, MSI has revealed a brand new line-up of all-in-one CPU coolers, dubbed the MAG CORELIQUID series.
According to MSI, the CORELIQUID series marries quality materials, durability, and heat dissipation technologies to offer a complete liquid cooling solution – ‘effective cooling without any compromise.’
Although at first glance, the new series doesn’t appear to offer anything new compared to existing products on the market, MSI has taken a rather novel approach to the pump design that sets it apart.
MSI has integrated the pump into the radiator to dampen sound, which results in less noise coming from the assembly. MSI says that the design allows for a 10% reduction in noise levels compared to competitor models at 44 dB, instead of the traditional 49 dB. The design also increases the pump’s life expectancy by shifting it further away from the heat source.
MSI CORELIQUID series also features a rotatable blockhead that allows you to mount it at any orientation, then rotate it up to 270 degrees. The pump motor features a durable three-phase motor with minimal vibrations to keep it ticking away longer. The radiator is designed around a split pathway to rapidly dissipate heat before the cooled liquid is pumped back into the loop.
The tubing is made up of three-layers of netted plastic and a reinforced mesh exterior that works to eliminate evaporation. CORELIQUID is also designed to integrate seamlessly into the system environment if you have an MSI cooler or case with pin-head locations positioned strategically, including a dedicated pump-fan header.
As for compatibility, MSI is going all out with support for a good selection of both Intel and AMD socket motherboards. On the Intel side, MAG CORELIQUID supports LGA 1150, LGA 1151, LGA 1155, LGA 1156, LGA 1200, LGA 1366, LGA 2011, LGA 2011-4, and LGA 2066. As for AMD, MSI is offering compatibility with AMD4, FM2_, FM1, AM3+, AM3, AM2+, AM2, SocketTR4, sTRX4, and SP3 sockets.
Finally, MAG CORELIQUID ships with ARGB lighting controlled via an MPG MAX iHUB and MSI Mystic Light software.
