Original story (Sep. 16): The NBA 2K22 update 1.04 has dropped for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, bringing in fixes for crashing issues, network connection problems, random disconnect issues, and other general improvements to the game. We are going to be taking a closer look through update 1.04 and also share the patch notes so you know what you are dealing with from the latest patch.
NBA 2K22 has, so far, received extremely positive reviews from its payers and these updates are only going to bolster everyone’s experience. We believe the file size for the new NBA 2K22 update is around 323MB, however, this can vary across platforms.
NBA 2K22 Patch 1.04 Update
The new update is first and foremost addressing crashing issues and various random disconnection issues that some players are facing. We are also getting network connection improvements, some online and general game stability improvements to help performance issues. There are some other optimizations and minor fixes but the details are yet to be released on those.

The Gatorade Private Courts reservation menu will now reliably display your friend’s list.
Fixed just prior to this patch: Users should have already noted improved responsiveness on Squad Invites and newly improved performance in Rec/Pro-Am experiences.
Future NBA 2K updates:
Continued stability improvements, improved loading speeds when re-entering the City, removed/reduced hitching when on vehicles on Series X consoles, removing tipping from DJ Booths when propped near Quest NPCs, and more.
