New leaks regarding the launch dates for the RTX 50 series confirm that the next-gen GPUs will be launching soon, including a few models that we weren’t expecting to be on the list.
Nvidia’s next-gen RTX 50 series, codenamed Blackwell, was initially believed to consist of a trio of GPUs. However, recent leaks not only confirm the release dates for the original models but also hint at additional models that were previously unknown. While the RTX 50 series was expected to debut at CES 2025, it now appears that more models will be launched monthly.
Nvidia RTX 50 series graphics card lineup rumored release dates
The latest launch date leaks have emerged from Chinese board channels, with a user claiming that the release dates for the RTX 50 series are “basically determined“. While the accuracy of these leaks remains uncertain, one date aligns with our previous expectations for two specific models. According to the post, the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 are set to launch in January at CES 2025, just as we initially anticipated.
However, things take a twist as the leaker claims that not only the RTX 5070 but also the RTX 5070 Ti will be released in February next year, just a month after the 5090 and 5080. Adding to the excitement, the RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 were also mentioned in this leak, with both expected to debut in March. This means we could see the entire RTX 50 series lineup launched within the first quarter of 2025.
New rumors reveal Ti variants that we haven’t heard of before
The most intriguing aspect of this launch date leak isn’t just the dates themselves, but the models involved. Previously, the RTX 5070 Ti variant was unheard of, and the RTX 5060 Ti/5060’s appearance is also a surprising addition. The previous leaks from Kopite7kimi revealed potential memory speed changes for the RTX 5080, along with some specifications for the RTX 5070.
Kopimite confirmed that the RTX 5070 will feature 12 GB of RAM and a 250W TDP, but that’s pretty much it. In fact, we don’t even know the number of CUDA cores that the RTX 5070 comes with. That’s why we are pretty skeptical about hearing a launch date leak even before a glimpse at the possible specifications for models like the RTX 5070 Ti and the RTX 5060 Ti/5060. The leak also claims that there are currently no plans for the SUPER series models.
