Jim Boone, Volition’s Chief Creative Officer, announced in November 2021 that the upcoming Saints Row reboot would no longer be released on February 25th, 2022. Like so many other games before it this last year or two, Saints Row has been pushed back, now due for release on August 23rd, 2022.
While we wait for the new delayed release date, though, we can expect to get more and more information and footage about what to expect when the game finally reaches the shelves. As announced on the official Game Awards Twitter profile, there will be an all-new gameplay trailer for the upcoming Saints Row reboot during the awards show on December 9th, 2021. This gameplay footage will be just one of an exciting bunch of announcements and reveals scheduled for The Game Awards, including the first-look trailer for 2022’s Halo TV series.
Saints Row the Self Made reboot
Taking place in the fictional Santo Ileso, Saints Row will feature the franchise’s biggest and boldest sandbox world yet. Self Made is expected to feel like Saints Row games of old, while bringing something completely new and fresh to the popular franchise. Join a group of young friends as they embark on creating a criminal dynasty in Saint Ileso. You’ll form your own cover businesses, evade the police by any means necessary and take on totally legitimate errands in your bid to rise to the top of South West America’s criminal underbelly.
