Are you one of those people who like to get ahead in life by any means necessary? Like to cheat at video games? Well, guess what, if you’re playing New World and have been taking advantage of a gold duplication glitch to become the richest on the server, you’ve just spoilt it for everyone.

Yes, if you weren’t aware, since the 21st of October, there has been a gold exploit in New World in which a multitude of players around the world have been utilizing to make their in-game pockets as full as possible.

This gold duplication glitch was found upon the new server transfer system going live which caused a number of players to encounter the Character_Persist_Failure, reverting their progress back to where they left off beforehand. The way players were taking advantage of this was through listing a whole host of items on the market to sell, sending money to their friends, and more and when they logged back on, all of this

Of course, this exploit is against New World’s ToS but this hasn’t stopped players from doing it as much as possible. Therefore, Amazon Games has stepped in and simply removed server transfers altogether in an effort to curb this gold glitch and hopefully avoid any more market inflation.

If you have had any part of this gold duplication glitch, unfortunately, your head might be on the chopping block with New World Community Manager Luxendra stating that they have logs of all suspicious activity:

‘All of these transactions are logged in our database. We are reviewing them now and any players found deliberately using this condition to gain advantage will be banned for exploiting. We will also remove items or gold received where appropriate.’

The official word on the New World forums is that 150k players have undertaken the server transfer process and only a ‘small’ number of these have been utilizing the gold exploit for personal gain. However, ‘small’ isn’t actually an exact number and could literally be any figure at this point.

We expect this gold glitch to be resolved as soon as possible and hopefully, server transfers come available to those that are wanting to move their character over in the coming days.
