Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak – Summer 2022

The Nintendo Direct live stream has kicked off with a glimpse of Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak, the new expansion for Monster Hunter Rise which includes new stories, locales, monsters, and new hunting actions and quests coming in Summer 2022.

Mario Party Superstars – 29th October 2021

Next up we have Mario Party Superstars which include Spaceland, Peaches Birthday cake, and 5 boards from Nintendo 64 games. Take a stroll around Woodywoods, travel between two islands in Yoshi’s Tropical Island, party day and night in Horrorland, take a break from boards and head to Mount minigames, and compete against players worldwide or work together in co-op mode. Mario Party Superstars will be available on 29th October 2021.

Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars – 28th October 2021

A new RPG is on the cards…

You will set off on a fantastical journey to slay a dragon for honor and fortune. Everything in this game is represented as cards, including the protagonist, towns, environments, and more. In this game, you will square off in turn-based card battles, using skills and luck to determine the victor. A spellbinding experience from Yoko Taro and Yosuke Saito, available to pre order today and release on the 28th October 2021.

A one-minute glimpse into the latest expansion pack of Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity has been shown, coming on the 29th of October.

Chocobo GP

Ready, set Chocobo!

Start your engines and get set for a new type of racing experience. Choose familiar characters from Final Fantasy. The clip looks to be a very similar game dynamic to that of Mario Kart whilst adopting familiar elements from Final Fantasy including character abilities as well as collecting two or more of the same element to create a stronger weapon to take out your opponents. In Chocobo GP up to 64 players can compete in a bracket-style tournament to determine the racing champion. Chocobo GP will be made exclusively on the Nintendo Switch in 2022.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate – Final Character Announcement

Coming on the 5th of October, Mr. Sakurai will announce the final character for Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

Kirby & The Forgotten Land – Spring 2022

In a post-apocalyptic 3D world play as Kirby coming in Spring 2022. Using familiar Kirby moves, explore the new area, full of abandoned structures from a past civilization.

Animal Crossing New Horizons

A sneak peek into the new Animal Crossing New Horizons content, which will be arriving in November. Before this, Animal Crossing Direct will be presented in October with a closer look at what new content is coming to Animal Crossing.

Nintendo Switch Online – New Content

After the September 2018 launch, in addition to the current membership, a new membership plan will be launching and as part of this new content, you will be able to play a collection of Nintendo 64 games. As well as the N64 games, you will also be able to play a collection of games from the Sega Genesis system. This new plan will include all the basic content and features as well as access to N64 games and Sega Genesis games. Pricing and the release date will be announced at a later date.

Amazingly, Nintendo has also launched both Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis controllers that can be purchased to be used with the Nintendo Switch both of which can be used wirelessly.

Shigeru Miyamoto joins us and begins to discuss the development of the feature-length Mario film, developed by Illumination who are known for Despicable Me and Sing amongst others.

The release date for North America is 21st December 2021 with more release dates to be announced shortly for Japan, Europe and other regions. Unfortunately, Nintendo will not be showing a clip of the movie yet. However, we do get a glimpse at the actors who will be playing the main characters of the film.

Splatoon 3 – Return of the Mammalians

Nintendo presents Splatoon 3 with the latest ‘research footage’ a.k.a gameplay footage including footage from Splatsville, the City of Chaos. Presented is the battle-based turf war, where whichever team inks the most area wins. Splatoon 3 includes new weapons and the reappearance of mammals. Splatoon 3 is scheduled to release in 2022, Nintendo urges us to look forward to new updates coming soon.

Bayonetta 3 – 2022 Release Date

Nintendo teases a 3-minute clip of Bayonetta 3 and simply mentions its release date is 2022.
