There’s been another Nintendo Switch console firmware update, this time taking us to Nintendo Switch Update 13.2.0. It’s been an exciting year for the hybrid console, between the addition of bluetooth headphone support and the introduction of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass, but this update is significantly less fun and interesting.
What are the Nintendo Switch Update 13.2.0 patch notes?
The latest update notes say that Nintendo has made ‘general system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience’, which is just about vague enough to mean anything. We suppose more stable = more good, so let’s all just be happy about it?
Nintendo Dataminer @OatmealDome also revealed that Nintendo have added support for ratings from the Chinese rating system CADPA behind the scenes, adding the various logos for that region.

It seems that Nintendo added support for CADPA, a new Chinese rating system, to the software startup screen (the black screen w/ Nintendo and Switch logos) for Chinese-region games. The rating icon will appear in the lower left corner. pic.twitter.com/r4Xqkxmmkv
While this update was a slow one, Nintendo have already promised that future games and potentially even game systems will come to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass in the coming weeks. We hope that the next update includes Wave Race, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask and Masahiro Sakurai’s original mascot party-fighter Super Smash Bros, especially since the latter would have online multiplayer for the very first time.
What do you think of the newest Nintendo Switch software update? Can you tell if your Switch is feeling more stable after Nintendo Switch Update 13.2.0, or not?
