As an update to the latest rumors of the RTX 4070 specifications, kopite7kimi on Twitter has given updated specifications. In fact, they suggest there are two potential specs for the card. There is no mention if this is a split of Ti to non-Ti or just two different possibilities.

There are two different boards mentioned per SKU. This will be likely the two boards Nvidia produces for each GPU. One for its Founders Edition and another for its board partners.

Before this update, the RTX 4070 already had an extensive spec. It was said to be a PG141-SKU331 board featuring the AD104-275 GPU.

Whilst it featured 7,6840 CUDA cores, 12GB of GDDR6X memory, clocked at 21 Gbps. Whilst initially it was rated with a total board power of 300W it was then updated to 285W. With an expected Time Spy Extreme score of more than 11,000.

Updated RTX 4070 specifications

With that, we look to what we might now expect from the cards. The first updated spec is for the PG141-SKU340/341 board.

It may feature 7,680 CUDA cores, along with 12 GB of GDDR6X memory. Clocked at 21 Gbps across a 192-bit bus, would give a max bandwidth of 504 GB/s. With a total board power of 285 W, this would get a score of less than 11,000 on Time Spy Extreme.

Whilst the other rumored spec is for the PG141-SKU336/337. This is set to feature 7,168 CUDA cores, with 10 GB of GDDR6X memory. Clocked at 21 Gbps but across a 160-bit bus instead would result in an 84 GB/s lower bandwidth. Along with a total board power of 250W. With a likely TSE score of less than 10,000.

So there is still some uncertainty about the RTX 4000 series lineup specifications. We don’t expect to see the new cards until October and that may only be the 4090 but there still might be some extra info on the rest along with it.
