The Pokemon Company International announced that the long awaited Play! Pokemon Regional and International Championships will be resuming in Europe and North America. With the first set of events set for a March 2022 debut. Fans across the world will be able to participate in in-person Pokemon events again, after they were put on hold due to the pandemic.

Here, we’ll go through all the various locations that have been confirmed and what’s going on where.

International Championships

If you’re looking for serious competition, you can take part in Championship Series events. The Pokémon International Championships draw Pokémon TCG and video game players from all around the globe during the Championship Series season. These amazing events feature high Championship Point payouts and a prize pool value of up to $250,000 per event (based on attendance), spread between the Pokémon TCG and video game competitions.

2022 Pokémon Europe International Championships

  • April 22–24, 2022
  • Messe Frankfurt, Frankfurt am Main, Germany

 
2022 Pokémon North America International Championships

  • June 24–26, 2022
  • Greater Columbus Convention Center, Columbus, OH, USA

Regional Championships

After the Pokémon International Championships, the Pokémon Regional Championships are the largest events in terms of both attendance and Championship Point payouts.

  • Open to all players, but a higher level of competition is expected
  • Up to $50,000 in prizes, scholarships, and gift cards
  • No qualifications or residency restrictions

Europe

  • March 26–27, 2022: Liverpool, UK
  • May 7–8, 2022: Bilbao, Spain (Special Event)
  • June 4–5, 2022: Milan, Italy (Special Event)

 
North America

  • March 18–20, 2022: Salt Lake City, UT, USA
  • March 25–27, 2022: Orlando, FL, USA
  • May 6–8, 2022: Indianapolis, IN, USA
  • May 20–22, 2022: Secaucus, NJ, USA
  • May 27–29, 2022: Vancouver, BC, Canada
  • June 17–19, 2022: Milwaukee, WI, USA
