Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are modern remakes of the original Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl games that first introduced us to the Sinnoh region. The games will have all the same Pokémon, locations and NPCs you know and love from the original games, with adorably updated graphics for the Nintendo Switch.

Pokétch
As players’ gadgets get ever more intuitive as more Pokemon games get released, the Pokétch has had its own upgrade ready for Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Not only will the Pokétch come installed with the Dowsing Machine app, which can help players locate hidden items, you can also use the handy device to call on wild Pokémon to use hidden moves such as Cut and Rock Climb to help in tricky situations.
Amity Square
Amity Square is a peaceful, Wild Area-style park space where you can stretch your legs – as well as your Pokémon’s! Take up to six Pokémon out of their Pokéballs as you wander around the lush green grass of Amity Square, and your team will follow you round on their best behavior. You’ll be able to interact with your Pokémon and cook Poffins with them! Just like in the original Diamond and Pearl, though, only certain Pokémon are permitted in the park!
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond Release Date
