The PS5 originally launched way back in November 2020 and has been plagued by stock shortages ever since. This was exacerbated by multiple issues, the ubiquitous COVID-19 pandemic, bots and scalpers buying up the stock within seconds, even the guy who Tokyo drifted a ship in the Suez Canal caused mayhem with the supply chain. June, July, August, and September provided small dribs and drabs of PS5 stock which provided small windows of glorious opportunity for gamers to quickly get their hands on the next generation of the PlayStation gaming experience. This included the author of this article, he only succeeded by lying awake frantically refreshing the Argos app at around 4am, and it was totally worth it for the spicy Demon’s Souls remake.

We’ve heard on the grapevine that Amazon and GAME will be dropping a hefty number of PS5 consoles today, no concrete time has yet been found, but it’s worth keeping a weather eye on the horizon as it’s sure to be a huge rush, with the PS5 restock lasting only minutes or seconds before supplies are yet again exhausted. GAME is likely to place you in an orderly queue to order, with a time limit within which to complete your order once you reach the front.
