CES 2022 is in full swing and Razer has announced its collaboration with the American lifestyle company Fossil, to bring out the Razer x Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch. The Green tech giant is further expanding its brand to envelop your whole ecosystem. Now offering more choice of wearable tech with the refreshed limited supply of Fossil’s already popular Gen 6 smartwatch.
The launch is also both brands’ commitments to their wellness and fitness programs. Razer announced its Champions Start From Withing initiative for gamers a few months ago. The program features resources and help for mental and physical problems and a smartwatch is a great way of tracking any activities to help with those.
Addie Tan (associative director for business development at Razer) says “We are always on the lookout for opportunities to compliment gamers’ lifestyles and bring them products to not only look good but bring value to their lives as well.” With Steve Evans (Fossil Groups Chief Brand Officer) complimenting that statement saying “Wellness is also incredibly important to our customers, and the Gen 6 was designed with the wearer’s everyday wellness goals in mind”. Proving that Razer and Fossil have come together to provide gamers with a tool to help their well-being.
Razer x Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch specs
The Razer x Fossil smartwatch is based on the Gen 6 smartwatch by Fossil. Featuring a Snapdragon Wear 4100+ Platform along with Wear OS the watch is cutting edge tech to bring you the latest and fastest technology. The Gen 6 smartwatch also features a 44mm case size that fits a full round AMOLED screen. As well as two configurable push buttons on the side and a rotating home button for plenty of control.
Along with plenty of sensors and features for best tracking and connectivity. It features Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, GPS, and NFC SE allowing for any connectivity you may need. As well as heart rate sensor, oxygen saturation sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, altimeter, IR, and ambient light sensors. Which all together will give you plenty of information about what you can do to improve your lifestyle or find out what can be causing issues.
Being a collaboration, the Gen 6 smartwatch comes with three unique Razer watch faces. The analog, text, and chroma will give you plenty of customizability and RGB to show off your gamer colors. As well as two custom-designed interchangeable straps. The 22mm straps come in black and green so you can choose what style to wear.
How much is the Razer X Fossil Gen 6 Smartwatch?
Being the gamer-focused brand, Razer has limited the quantity of Razer x Fossil Gen 6 smartwatches to just 1337 units. So if you do fancy snagging one up it may be harder than it should be. They’ll become available this month from Fossil and Razer’s websites and some additional retailers. They will also cost you $329 which is only a $30 tax over the standard Gen 6 watch.
