Epic Games game development studio Psyonix has announced a Rocket League Season 5 release date, confirming that the new expansion content update will arrive on November 17, 2021 on every platform where the game is available.

Rocket League’s new season has several cool additions that are all based on a space theme. We think these are the biggest things added:

Rocket League’s Starbase Arc has been invaded

In Season 5, there’ll be a new version of the classic Starbase Arc map, called the Starbase Arc: Aftermath Arena Variant. It is heavily featured in the Season 5 trailer alongside a new version of “Player Of Games” by GRIMES.

Space Rocket Pass

There’s a new Rocket Pass (battle pass) where players can earn the Nexus Car and special items like the following:

  • Spacedirt Paint Finish
  • Hyperspace Animated Decal
  • Cosmosis Goal Explosion

A new Heatseeker Ricochet LTM

There’s a new version of the Heatseeker limited time mode. That’s the one where when you hit the ball and it starts automatically heading for the opponents goal. In Heatseeker Ricochet, the shape of the new Rocket Labs Arenas (Barricade, Colossus, and Hourglass) should make the gameplay more intense than ever.

You’ll be able to play the new Heatseeker Ricochet LTM mode from November 18, 2021.

Additional Updates

As is usual with a big update like this, there will also be general quality of life improvements and bug fixes, which should make Rocket League better than ever.

When is the Rocket League Season 5 release date?

Rocket League Season 5 will be playable on November 17, 2021. You’ll need to update the game some time after 4PM PST / 7PM EST on November 16, 2021 to be ready.
