Even though the lower end of the Ada series has not even been shown or rumored, but some news about a new flagship has emerged. With some rumors and teases of a possible RTX 4090 Ti or Titan graphics card in the works.
Firstly, over the past couple of days, pictures have emerged of this behemoth of the card. User @Zed__Wang on Twitter has posted a possible look at the new 4090 Ti or Titan.
It’s definitely a lot chunkier than the RTX 4090 FE option and hints towards its specifications which are also rumored and we go through them further on. But there are some changes that can be seen from the images.
Firstly, the video outputs have been flipped and placed vertically. This suggests that now the PCB is positioned vertically, rather than horizontally as the 4-slot cooler aims to cool the rather power-hungry card.
RTX 4090 Ti rumored specifications
Following the pictures of the possible RTX 4090 Ti or Titan, kopite7kimi has given us the possible specifications for the card. With the card containing a PG136/139 board with a 310 SKU.
The specs suggest an 11% increase in CUDA cores up to 16,384. Along with a 96 MB L2 cache, and 24GB of GDDR6X memory, which is clocked at 24 Gbps.
So the memory would not change but the cache and clocks would increase. So the bandwidth would also be faster. However, the TBP would also increase. Up from the 450 W on the current flagship.
As if the current top end was powerful enough this card seems to be taking the mick if it comes before any of the low-end options are available.
Previously, Kopite also rumored the PG137 board “the beast” or possible Titan card. This was in July 2022, so it may have changed back down to the Ti lower spec or they both eventually turn up.
Nvidia is expected to host the next GTC event at the end of March so more information might emerge around that time.
