Assassin’s Creed Valhalla To Be Bundled With Select Ryzen CPUs

With the new ‘Matisse Refresh’ processors due on July 7th, 2020, it looks like AMD is set to bundle a free game to further sweeten the deal. This is all according to a recent rumor that has gained traction on a number of news sites.

Which AMD Processors Qualify For This Bundle?

According to the rumor, the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Valhalla title will be bundled with six Ryzen 3000 series processors.

We can see from the image above that the processors this will apply to are the following:

  • AMD Ryzen 9 3950X
  • AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT
  • AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
  • AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT
  • AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
  • AMD Ryzen 7 3700X

It’s great to see that the promotion is valid for two of the unreleased processors – the 3900XT and the 3800XT, but it is a shame that the Ryzen 3 and Ryzen 5 series are excluded.

When Will We See This Bundle?

Although this promotion hasn’t been confirmed just yet, we expect that it will be valid from the time the Ryzen XT series releases on July 7th. However, something to take into consideration is that we still don’t have an official release date for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

It seems likely that this title will be set to launch around the same time as the next-generation consoles which means if you qualify for this bundle, you could have a bit of a wait until you get to play it.

What to Expect in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

When we do eventually get our hands on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, it looks like we’ll have lots to look forward to. Following the same gameplay style of Assassin’s Creed Origins and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, players will cross the North Sea towards England to start their story.

Players will have to carve out a future for their clan once they have settled and will also be able to go on raids to earn riches and resources. The combat will be familiar to you if you’ve played any prior Assassin’s Creed games but has also been expanded to make use of the Viking’s ferocious fighting style and two-handed weapons.

We’ll keep an eye out for any more details or official confirmations on this bundle, but for now, feel free to drop us a comment below if this looks like something you’d be interested in.
