Somewhat confusingly, the more expensive A54 is slightly smaller in height and width than the A34 (though they’re both the same thickness), and it has a smaller 6.4″ screen vs the 6.6″ screen on the A34.

The A54 uses a more powerful CPU chipset with superior GPU chip, plus has better cameras than the A34, although both come with the same 120Hz display refresh rate AMOLED panel and 1,000 nits of peak brightness.

Despite being a bit smaller, the A54 is very slightly heavier due to using Gorilla Glass on the front and back, whereas the A34 only has it on the front (with ‘Glasstic’ on the back).

As mentioned the new A-series models take some of their design queues from the latest Galaxy S23 range, particularly on the rear side. The camera bump has been removed and now the camera sits almost flush with the chassis, with some protrusion from the lens rings. Both phones come with the following features present in the S-series: Samsung Nightography, AI capability features, and Samsung Knox for added security.
