Samsung offers trade-in deals all year round, however, they particularly up the ante when a new phone is about to launch.
The Samsung S22 line of mobiles launched in February 2022 and is still considered top-of-the-line spec-wise. This means despite the fact a potential S23 model is about to hit the shelves, people are still willing to pay a decent amount for the S22.

Samsung S22 trade in prices, what can you get for “good condition”?
We hope to find out the official numbers for trade-in deals when Samsung announces its next Galaxy phone during the Unpacked Event.
You can currently trade in your S22 Ultra 5G for the Galaxy Z Fold4 for $700 instant credit.
For a 128GB S22 Ultra, you can trade in the S21 Ultra for $280 credit.
so no matter if you’ve got an S22 and need the S23 (regardless if the S23 is worth it) or if you have an older S21, there are going to be trade in solutions.
