*LATEST* According to Sammobile, Q4 2023 will be when we’ll see the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE released.

*OLDER* Based on the available information, it is still too early to predict a reliable release window for the Galaxy S23FE. However, most Samsung tipsters and leakers believe the smartphone will most likely appear in the second half in 2024. 

According to Hankooki, a reliable Korean publication, the release window for the Galaxy S23FE is between August-September 2023. This aligns with the release of the Samsung Galaxy S20FE three years ago, which appeared precisely seven months after the release of the S20 series.  

Samsung has scheduled an Unpacked Summer Event for the last few years around August. These events have always been focused on foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Fold and the Galaxy Z Flip. But this year, the Korean tech giant could stir things up by introducing the Galaxy S23FE alongside the Galaxy foldable devices. However, it is still possible that Samsung could hold a separate product launch for the S23FE.

The Galaxy FE series devices are a slightly stripped-down version of Samsung’s latest standard flagship model. So, the S23FE will be a slightly stripped-down variant of the standard Galaxy S23 released in February. 

The FE devices carry several significant features from the flagship model. But of course, some sacrifices are made to lower the cost. Usually, everything comes down to the material of the smartphone, which isn’t as good as the regular Galaxy S device. Samsung can also make a few potential cutbacks in the display refresh rate, CPU (as discussed), and camera setups. 

• Display: We do not have any leaked renders of the S23 FE yet. But we expect the screen size to be between the standard S23 (6.1-inch) and S23 Plus (6.6-inch). The S21FE offers a 6.4-inch display; we expect the same with the S23FE. Regarding refresh rate, the previous FE devices feature the same 120Hz refresh rates as the flagship models. However, the panel didn’t support an adaptive refresh rate. We expect it to change this year. 
• CPU: Exynos 2200 (according to SamMobile). Alternatively the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 (vs the Gen 2 in the other S23 lineup)
• Camera: According to the latest SamMobile leak, the main camera lens is expected to be 50MP (the same as the main S23 series)
• Storage: 128GB/256GB SSD
• RAM: 6G/8GB
• Battery: 4,500mAh capacity
• Operating System: Android 13
