It’s safe to say that the Samsung Galaxy S23 launch was fairly successful. However, after user feedback, the global super brand decided that good just wasn’t good enough.
In an attempt to improve the phones performance, Samsung have already made additional improvements to its S23 lineup – with the new phone receiving a huge upgrade to its already impressive camera.
Today, Samsung have officially confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra will all receive camera upgrades.
Samsung Galaxy S23 camera improvements
Reading a Samsung Community Forum post made by one of the company’s executives, it’s clear that the brand are prioritizing its camera performance.
You can find the complete list of camera improvements below:
- New functionality in the Gallery app allows you to immediately delete photos that were recently captured and/or being processed.
- For faster photo taking, the autofocus algorithm has been altered, meaning that, when you press the shutter button, the camera takes a photo even if the lense has failed to focus. That said, users still have the ability to take in-focus-only shots, by selecting within the settings.
- Sharpness has also been improved, and the flicker has been reduced while capturing videos when using the ultrawide camera in low-light situations. This occurs when using the Super Steady mode.
- Green line bug fix when using the phone’s rear photo mode.
- Image stabilization improvements have been made when shooting in the FHD60 made after setting Auto FPS off in rear video mode.
- Improvements made to line-shaped banding noise that can occur in the sky when under low to medium light conditions. Optimized overall sharpness as well for high-pixel shooting.
- Malfunction fix when shooting after Night Off in low light. Issues occurs when selecting Shooting speed>high resolution>Speed priority in the camera Assistant.
- Face recognition issue resolved. Faces weren’t being recognized after using a 3rd part video call.
- Finally, camera movements have been stabilized through various routes.
All the improvements made seem relatively justified when comparing the S23 to other high-performance phones in today’s market.
