After what feels like an eternity, the Samsung Odyssey Ark has finally launched in the US. It is now available to pre order through Samsung Direct with early adopters rewarded with a $100 savings.

The new audacious Odyssey gaming display will feature a 55-inch UHD 1000R curved panel – offering up a unique visual experience that will be the first of its kind.

Alongside strong core specifications, users can also expect a high 165Hz refresh rate, low 1ms response time, and variable refresh rate technology for both G-Sync and FreeSync systems.
As far as pricing is concerned, the Odyssey Ark will launch for an eye-watering $3,499 in the US – $3,399 after the $100 pre order discount.

That’ll make the Odyssey Ark one of the most expensive gaming monitors ever, only eclipsed by a few oddly priced mini LED panels right now.
All being said, the Odyssey Ark is one of the craziest monitors we’ve seen in some time. That said, thanks to its incredibly bespoke design and viewing experience – not to mention its price – the Ark may end up being a flop from a sales standpoint.
