During TGS 2021 Online, Xbox has announced a selection of new titles being added to Xbox Game Pass today, September 30, 2021. The highlight of these games is Bandai Namco’s Scarlet Nexus. Only released in June 2021, Scarlet Nexus is currently available to purchase for $59.99/£49.99, so is definitely worth downloading for free with a current Xbox Game Pass.

Scarlet Nexus Game Pass

Scarlet Nexus is an RPG based in a futuristic Brain Punk city where you will embark on dual story gameplay. Play through as Yuito Sumeragi or Kasane Randall, before completing the game as the other to round out your Scarlet Nexus narrative. Yuito and Kasane’s stories will intertwine as you play to unveil the secrets of this tale of technology and psychic ability.

Other games coming to Game Pass today

Other games that are being added to Game Pass today are AI: Somnium Files and Mighty Goose. Mighty Goose has just been on sale, but if you didn’t already buy it, you’ll be able to play for free today.

What is Xbox Game Pass?

Mighty Goose Xbox Game Pass

Xbox Game Pass is a monthly subscription service from Microsoft which includes Xbox Live Gold, cloud gaming services (area dependent), and access to a library of over 100 games, all free to play as long as you have a current Game Pass. This is how Scarlet Nexus is going to be available, so if you stop subscribing to Xbox Game Pass, you will lose access to Scarlet Nexus. Your progress will be saved, though, if you decide to purchase the game or resubscribe in the future.
