New Shadow Warrior 3 trailer released to announce delay
Devolver Digital and Flying Wild Hog make the joke at their own expense before anyone else can

Shadow Warrior 3 needs a little more work, so has been pushed back from a vague 2021 release date to an equally vague “early 2022” date. The developer and publisher have labelled the delay as “slight,” much like that of its predecessor, so here’s hoping for a very early 2022 release.

Wisely mocking themselves to take the fun out of it for everyone else, Flying Wild Hog decided to produce an entire trailer to announce the delay of Shadow Warrior 3. Even referencing the “slight” delay that occurred before the release of Shadow Warrior 2, they gloat that, while SW3 is close to perfect, it could be better than perfect with a little more time. A bold claim that could cause them trouble if they don’t live up to it.

All Flying Wild Hog and Devolved Digital have said so far is that the new release date of Shadow Warrior 3 is going to be in “early 2022.” The delay has been described as “slight”, matching that of the SW2 delay which was only a month. Since there is more than a month left of 2021, it’s clear this delay will be a little less “slight” than the last, but hopefully we can assume Shadow Warrior 3 will come in the first month or so of 2022.
