Sniper Elite 5 release date and everything we know so far

The Sniper Elite series is hugely popular. Let’s face it, sniping in any game is hugely popular for a lot of people, so the franchise based entirely around some of the technicalities of the subject tends to do very well for dev Rebellion.

After the success of Sniper Elite 4, we have just had the announcement of, you guessed it Sniper Elite 5. This time everybody’s favorite dead-eye marksman Karl Fairburne is returning, but this time the game will be set in France.

We know that the game will include an enhanced x-ray kill cam so you can relive all those amazing long-distance hits in all their gory, sorry glory.

The game will include new PVP and multi-player modes, allowing you to play co-op online

The game will be based in several locations around France in 1944 and the game maps will be the largest the franchise has seen to date.

You will be able to calibrate pretty much everything via a workbench system that will allow you to modify scopes, stocks, barrels, and much more, so you can really see if you can hone your kills to perfection

Sniper Elite 5 Release Date

Rebellion is hoping to get the game out in the open sometime towards the end of next year, that’s 2022 at the time of writing. We are sure we will see beta versions by the middle of next year though and expect to see some proper gameplay footage at some point in the first half of the year.

Which platforms will Sniper Elite 5 be released on?

Sniper Elite 5 will be available on Epic, Steam, Windows Store, Xbox Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 4 & 5. There are currently no plans for a Nintendo Switch version at this stage.
