The latest Sonic the Hedgehog title that has been teased for months has finally received a brand new trailer at TGA 2021. Sonic Frontiers looks like it’s going to take the blue blur into an open world environment for the first time, and is set to be released during Holiday 2022.
Sonic has a bit of a weird history with games, with the quality of his releases going up and down over the years. Over the past few years, the fans have really been given what they want thanks to the release of Sonic Mania back in 2017. Can Sonic Frontiers prove to be a huge success for the character once more? Only time will tell. As long as no one starts a bunch of fake controversy about it on Twitter, it can only be up from the series’ last release.
