John Lewis is at it again folks, this time pushing a Sony A95K product page that displays the TV’s official pricing a day early. If the price is right, it looks like the Sony A95K will be around £500 more expensive than the Samsung S95B 55″ – a similar QD-OLED TV releasing imminently.

John Lewis has since removed both Sony A95K 55″ and 65″ posts – however, a cached version of the leak is still available showcasing the price of the 55″.

Sony A95K more expensive than Samsung S95B

According to the John Lewis product page, the Sony A95K 55″ QD-OLED TV will retail for £2,699 in the UK. That’s right, the Sony A95K will be the more expensive option when it releases alongside the Samsung S95B.

While both the A95K and S95B will feature the same QD-OLED panel, the Sony display does look set to feature a plethora of exciting image processing and game-tailored features that could make up the price difference. For example, Sony’s A95K will feature Dolby Vision HDR whereas the S95B won’t. Additionally, Sony will be equipping the A95K with a bunch of new game-tailored features, powered by the brand’s ever-popular Cognitive Processor XR.

All being said, it wasn’t long ago that John Lewis was publish figures for the LG C2 before its official launch. The UK electronics brand was the first to the punch that time as well, posting the exact same price for both the C2 42″ and 48″ models.

After a couple of weeks, however, John Lewis reduced the prices of the 42″ variant, in line with other competing electronics stores. So, while these prices are likely, it’s worth taking them with a pinch of salt.

Sony A95K release date

Sony has officially unveiled the prices and release date of its entire 2022 TV lineup – with US sales expected for June.

The entire lineup of hugely anticipated panels will be available in the US from June onwards, with prices also announced by Sony. Canadian buyers will get early access to the Sony TVs, with the A95K available from this month.

UK prices and availability are still unknown at this early stage, however, if the John Lewis price leak is anything to go off, it should be relatively soon.
