Veteran gaming peripheral company SteelSeries has unveiled the world’s lightest MMO mouse, the SteelSeries Aerox. It appears to be set to change the MMO game from the ground up. The announcement of the Aerox 9 was accompanied by a bass-heavy sizzle real posted by the official SteelSeries Twitter account.
For years now, MMO mice have been hampered by weight, even the best MMO gaming mice continue to be hefty, mostly due to the number of buttons on the thumb side that MMO gamers need due to all the inputs demanded by MMOs. Historically, this has caused an issue as MMO gamers needed a secondary, lighter mouse for FPS games like CS:GO, Apex Legends, and Valorant as shooters benefit from lightweight gaming mice for those reflex-heavy flick shots. The SteelSeries Aerox 9 appears to have put a stop to this incessant mouse-juggling.
