Microsoft is set to host a Surface event on September 22nd, leading many people to assume the Surface Duo 2 release date could be fast approaching. We first saw the Microsoft Surface line back in 2015, with a clean aesthetic and innovative detachable keyboard being the main highlights. Subsequent tablet updates have been well received over the years and now we wait with great anticipation for the latest editions into the family.
Surface Duo 2 Release Date
All we know at this stage is that there is a huge announcement coming on September 22nd. The official release date for the Surface Duo will undoubtedly be revealed during said event, so it is hard to even speculate at this stage.
We know the device could well be shipping in October and feature Android 11!

Surface Duo 2 Specifications
It looks as though the Surface Duo 2 will feature a Snapdragon 888 SoC with 5G. It could possibly feature NFC for wireless payments, an external camera with a bump for better shots, and a bigger display that comes with a higher refresh rate and slim bezels.
The Surface Duo 2 is should, in many ways, resemble the older model, with the changes to the shape being quite subtle. There was also a rumor suggesting that the camera sensory array will feature three external lenses on the back as shown in the specifications above.
