Nintendo Switch Online has been slowly and steadily adding old retro games to the service. It’s now added four brand new Mega Drive games to the service, and they’re real good ones.

The Memes Join Switch Online

Switch online has now added Comix Zone, Mega Man: The Wily Wars, Target Earth and Zero Wing. Mega Man: The Wily Wars is a repackaging of the first three Mega Man games that released on the NES and is a graphical overhaul of those titles. Comix Zone is a beat em up game that is set in the panels of a comic book that takes the graphical potential of that format and just runs with it. Of all of these though, you’ll know about Zero Wing the most, even if through osmosis. It’s the game that launched itself into the meme world with the absolutely awful translation that gave us “All your base are belong to us”. Yes, that’s this game.

Switch Online now has a decent array of older titles, including but not limited to:

  • Comix Zone
  • Zero Wing

  • Super Punch Out
  • Earthbound
  • The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

There’s enough here to keep you occupied for a few months, especially with the fact they’re constantly adding games to the service.
