With such a long time since the last entry in the series, there are plenty of fans out there who cannot wait for the game to finally come out. As such, we’ve put together some of the important information about the game to make it a bunch more convenient for you.

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Release Date

The first signs of this title appeared in 2016 when Nacon acquired the Test Drive IP from Atari, and announced that they would be rebooting the series. A few years later in 2020, at their Nacon Connect event, the publishers officially announced the title although a release window was conspicuously absent.

Luckily, the following year’s Nacon Connect Event featured the announcement that we’d all been waiting for. Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown will be dropping on September 22nd, 2022, with a release planned for PC and all major consoles at the same time.

One of the most interesting things about the Ultimate series is that they use real-world locations and typically try to recreate them as realistically as possible. This time around, we’ll get to drive freely around Hong Kong island, the decently-sized landmass at the southern tip of Hong Kong itself.

The recent cinematic trailer made the digital version of Hong Kong look amazing, and there appears to be an even bigger focus in this title on your social status. As with the previous Unlimited games, you start with a basic home and a basic vehicle, and as you win races and gain money you gain social status by buying more impressive vehicles and homes.

How realistic the island is in-game is still yet to be seen, but it’s sure to be fun finding out. Check out the cinematic reveal trailer below to get a look at digital Hong Kong island for yourself.
